On the Spin Period of the Neutron Star in the Ultraluminous X-Ray Source M51 ULX-8

چکیده

The recent discovery of periodic pulsations from several members the ultraluminous X-ray source (ULX) family in nearby galaxies as well our own galaxy unveiled nature accreting compact object. Neutron stars rather than black holes are currently believed to power a substantial number ULXs whether or not observed. detection cyclotron absorption lines spectrum ULX provides an alternative way identify object neutron star. Among non-pulsating ULXs, presence resonance scattering feature (CRSF) M51 ULX-8 has been reported. In present work, magnetic field strength on surface star is inferred energy observed CRSF estimate beaming fraction emission and more importantly observable range for elusive neutron-star spin period be hopefully discovered by forthcoming space missions near future.
